Romantic Morning.

  1. Hold hands and watch the sunrise together. Bring coffee, mimosas, eggs & sausage bites, and a blanket to cuddle or lay on.

Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain.

Combine 12 beaten eggs, a small chopped onion, and 4oz chopped chile peppers in a large bowl. Add sausage, salt, and pepper to taste; mix until well combined. Spoon 1/4 cup of sausage mixture into each of the prepared muffin cups. Bake in the preheated 350-degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

2. Enjoy the great outdoors and fresh air, and hike near your home. Watch your local birds, eagles, and hawks near open water or dams in your area. Walk along the river’s edge or a pond and bring some cracked corn to share with the geese and ducks for a memorable outing.

Garden adventures.

3. Visit a public garden or botanical center when the weather isn’t cooperating outside. Enjoy the sites and sweet smells of all those flowers and greenery. Plan your dream garden of flowers, herbs, and vegetables while getting to know each other better. Buy a house plant to take care of.

Day trip.

4. Day trip: Visit or stroll holding hands in a small town square. Window shop, visit small antique stores, coffee shops, and local mom-and-pop restaurants and businesses. Take pictures to remember this special day.

Special dinner.

5. Cook a special dinner together. My husband and I enjoy doing this. We both enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes and ideas, choosing the food, shopping for the ingredients, chopping, sauteing, picking the wine, beer, or other beverage, and sharing the clean-up. It’s an all-inclusive dinner date. Add a movie or board game like Yahtzee to complete the evening.

Drink night date.
